A heart locket can hold one memory inside and another on its surface. Choose an engraving from your own photograph or artwork, such as a familiar smile or a handwritten sign-off, to make this silver necklace personal.
The 15mm heart gives a compact space for the exterior engraving, so a clear single subject is best. A printed photo inside is a separate choice, with optional printing and fitting available.
Ideas for your personal engraving
- Photos: Choose a close crop of one face or a single detail that matters to you. The small engraving area cannot show the same detail as the original photograph, so an uncluttered image is best.
- Handwriting: A few characters, a short word or a small signature can preserve someone’s own writing. Send a clear photograph or scan of the original rather than retyping the words.
- Drawings: A little heart, a simple doodle or a bold outline can work well at this scale. Choose the most recognisable part of a drawing rather than a page filled with detail.
- Pet portraits: A clear close-up of your pet’s face is the most useful starting point. A larger piece will be more suitable if you want to keep detailed fur markings or a full portrait.
- Nose prints: The pattern can be taken from a clear close-up or an existing nose print. At this size only a small amount of texture will remain visible, so a selected detail may be more effective.
- Paw prints: A simple paw print outline can remain recognisable even on a small keepsake. Supply a clear image of the whole print, with the pads separated from the background.
- Handprints and footprints: A small handprint or footprint can also provide the outline for your engraving. The image is reduced to fit; it will not retain the original print’s size or every fine detail.

Curb chain
A classic chain of closely connected links that lie neatly against the skin. Its polished finish gives personalised pendants a more defined look.

Looking after your jewellery
Caring for sterling silver
Sterling silver naturally changes over time and may develop tarnish as it reacts with the environment. This is completely normal and can usually be removed with gentle cleaning and polishing.
Engraved jewellery: Avoid aggressive polishing, abrasive pastes and silver dips over the engraved area. Gentle cleaning helps preserve the fine detail and contrast of your engraving.
